メークイン - May Queen Potato

先日作って概ね好評だったビーフシチューだが、意外だったのが肉そのものよりジャガイモの美味しさに感激されたことで、あれはどこのイモかと聞かれた。普通にスーパーで仕入れた北海道産メークインなんだけどね。パッケージはご覧の通りで、ホクレンが出している「よくねたいも」というラインアップのひとつ。温度管理貯蔵されているらしい。
そんなわけで今日はそのメークインを使ってカレーを作る役を承った。

Beef stew I made the other day was well accepted among the family, but rather interestingly the potatoes seemed most popular, more so than the beef, and I was asked where they were from. The May Queen potatoes were from Hokkaido, and I just bought them in a supermarket routinely. It looks like they are kept under controlled temperature in storage.
This eventually drove me to cook curry today with these potatoes.
