薄井写真館の一角に作られたカフェで、店名はその綴りを動かしてUUSIとなっている。草津温泉で洒落た店を見つけるのは絶望的な作業だが、ここはガイド本に紹介されているらしく、若い客層で席は埋まっている。ガラス面が大きく開放感がありながら落ち着ける感じだ。ここの売りはそば粉のガレットで軽い食事とするか、あるいはスウィート好きならクレープで行くかという選択だ。
It is usually hopeless to come across with a stylish eating spot in Kusatsu, but Uusi is a café in the space of Usui Photo Studio, and the large glass windows offer relaxing yet open atmosphere. Some guidebooks reported this spot and it is often filled with young people. Gallets and crêpes are the focus here depending on your preference toward a light meal or a sweet.
