北軽のtags - Café in Kita-Karuizawa

お盆休みに息子のアトリエがある嬬恋を訪ねた。ランチは北軽井沢のtagsというカフェに連れて行ってもらった。プレートランチはフレンチトーストにベーコン1枚と地元野菜のサラダ。この野菜が良かった。左の小皿に入っている緑色の豆粒はウズラの卵より小さめでワイルド胡瓜だと教えてもらった。量的に足りないなという人にはカレーがお薦めとなる。このお店は本格的なエスプレッソ･マシンが置かれ、ちょっと懐かしいモダニズム家具のインテリアが温かい雰囲気を作っていて、居心地は良かった。窓辺のカウンター･トップは桜の一枚板。

During the buddhist holidays in mid August, we visited our son's atelier in Tsumagoi, and he took us to lunch at a nearby café called tags in Kita-Karuizawa. Their lunch plate included French toast, a slice of bacon, and the salad of local vegetables. The veges were excellent, and in the small glass bowl (left end in pix) are wild cucumbers that we have never seen before. If the plate looks insufficient for you, the curry with rice would be a better alternative. They had a large and serious espresso machine, and the interior with some modernism furniture had warm, relaxing atmosphere. By the window facing to the garden was a solid and beautiful cherry tree counter top.
